The Stow Away Cabinet Ironing Board from HOUSEHOLD ESSENTIALS is a convenient built-in solution that can be installed into your wall. This cabinet is designed to keep your ironing board hidden inside until you need to use it. It can be easily installed between wood or metal studs that are 16" on center (hardware is included for wood studs only). This cabinet features an oak door with an MDF interior. The wood board inside measures 11.75" x 41" and can be folded out forward 44.5" from the wall. It also has the ability to swivel all the way to the right and left. The ironing board opens 10" above the bottom of the cabinet and can be raised an additional 2" after installation (the board comes pre-installed inside the cabinet). Additionally, the cabinet includes two storage shelves - the top shelf measures 13.25" x 4.375" and is 12" tall, while the bottom shelf measures 13.25" x 3.5" and is 16" tall. The top shelf is designed to accommodate irons with a maximum width or depth of 4.375" next to the heat-resistant plate.

All necessary hardware is included and packaged with the ironing board cover. It's important to note that the cabinet cannot be mounted to the surface of the wall; it must be set inside the wall. The maximum dimensions of the product are 15.75” W x 7.75" D x 47.45" H. When the cabinet is opened and the board is extended, the dimensions are 28.5" W (door open) x 44.5" from the wall. The ironing board itself recesses into the wall by 3.5 inches. The ironing surface measures 41” x 11 ¾” and the cabinet interior is 13.25” W x 5.375” D. The top shelf is 4.375" D x 12" H, while the bottom shelf is 3.5" D x 16" H.

Before installation, ensure that there are no power lines or water pipes in the desired wall space. The swiveling ironing board can rotate 180 degrees for both right and left-handed ironing. You can adjust the bolt under the board to tighten or loosen the rotation. It's recommended to have 66" of clearance from side to side and 44.5" in front of the cabinet for the board to open and swivel properly.
